Good VS Bad website Smackdown by: Carter Turner
In this Good Vs Bad Website smackdown I will be talking about the difference between Goat and FlightClub, Pointing out which website is better and is easier to use. Goat has a lot more then flight club does when It comes down to options. You can find sneakers, clothers watches, and more or GOAT while FlightClub, all you can find is sneakers with Merch.
In this smackdown you will see the reason why GOAT is the go to sight not just over flightClub but over many other sights like Stock X, Stadium Goods and more. You can also resell things yourself on Goat and even get some feed back from the costumer
Overall I think Goat is the better website and easier to use for people who may just be getting started when it comes to getting into the sneaker game or just buying shows that they and have been wanting for thr longest.
I liked how you explained your choices and gave reasoning behind what worked and what didn’t. Your examples made it easy to understand. You could improve it by adding more detail about how design affects user trust.

ReplyDeleteCarter, great choices for your smackdown. As a user of both websites, GOAT is great. I believe it started with just sneakers a while back. I didnt know you can only return on GOAT but definitely has a lot better of a design. Goat has new listings and for every new listing there is always used reseller listings which I think is great. A long time ago I think flight club was just more mainstream because they had physical locations too. Personally I think GOAT was just on top in the e-commerce game which eventually took over.
ReplyDeleteI like your comparison on Goat and Flight Club for the reason you mentioned on the resellers being more expensive locally. I haven’t seen these sites prior but Goat having a return policy will more than likely get my business in the future.

I also liked how you emphasized that Goat has a unique website layout that you don't normally see which makes this website stand out more. Goat definitely seems like the way to go compared to Flight Club.
