Chapter 6 shows us that learning is powerful when it takes place through shared experiences. We learn that a connected learning community is where people can come together around common interests, share ideas, and work together across multiple environments such as social media platforms, in the classroom and many more. When people work together and begin to network, it makes things get done more efficiently which can make the connection grow between people. Its mostly important in places/jobs that connections can flourish when dealing with people.
I think that this strongly connects to my potential career in NFL films or sports media because it works well when talking to people. one example of that is working together and communicating in broadcasting on what needs to be done while live. That goes into listening to cues from the director in a live studio. Being able to work together and move as one. This can also be important when bring players and interviewing them. I feel like thats a big strong point. on connections in because your talking players and when you interview them, you have to do your research and know what your talking about. This makes the player more comfortable in the interview making it easier for you to talk to them while also building a connection in the process.
Overall, No matter what field you are in, whether that is in the classroom, social media , sports media, professional environments, etc. Connections are very important. People are able to work together more effetely and build deeper connections. Even long term connections. This shows that working together in away is better than working alone.

I agree that learning becomes more powerful when it happens through shared experiences and collaboration. I also liked your connection to sports media, like NFL films, because live broadcasting heavily depends on strong communication and teamwork. Listening to cues and coordinating behind the scenes, like for interviewing players or live broadcasting of the game, needs trust between the team to help it run smooth and have the athletes as comfortable as possible.
ReplyDeleteCarter, I really liked the way you connected chapter 6 to your career path of working for NFL Films/Sports Media. Be able to work well with others is key because like you said, when your live broadcasting there are a lot of working parts in and behind the camera that go into making the broadcast successful. I think you have a great understanding of what connections really means to your career and this chapter related well with your future.
