Technology Blog Post #1: Developing a Connected Learning Model

In Chapter 2 of The Connected Educator by Sheryl explains how teachers can grow by staying connected to  their own schools. Sheryl also describes how collaboration through learning communities, personal networks, and shared practices allows teachers to learn about certain ideas, and improve their teaching. The chapter shows us that being that a connected teacher does not make room for isolation but it  encourages lifelong learning, and helps teachers adapt to change by learning from others around the world.

I Think that the ideas coming from Chapter 2 of The Connected Educator strongly align with my career goal of working for NFL Films. Mostly because of the learning communities and networking. Between the social Media aspect where theses videos my be getting posted on youtube Etc. when it comes to getting interviews with the players for a documentary or just to Broadcast live on TV.  There are so many ways to connect with people in sports even through the players stories and how they got there. A method to be heard. You even have to know your audience with the content that you even put out.

Overall, when Reading Chapter of The Connected Educator by Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach, You began to realize that you need to have these skills when it comes to Jobs, talking about yourself. This includes interviews. It shows how you have to hold yourself up to a professional standard. You need to know how to network, you need to know how to make connections especially with dealing with things like media and Branding. You need to reach the right audiences and look for the right opportunities someone can say, "Ok thats what I'm looking for."
